About Charlotte Viljoen

Charlotte Viljoen’s life is a compelling testimony of redemption, healing, and divine purpose. For over twelve years, she endured cycles of trials and tribulations—battling through psychiatric hospitals, emotional turmoil, retreats, and moments of profound despair. At her lowest point, depleted of all strength and resistance to God’s call, she voluntarily checked into a retreat where, by God’s grace, the process of transformation began. Each milestone in her healing journey inspired her to write poems—expressions of the restoration she was experiencing in Christ.

On January 3, 2019, Charlotte received a divine vision that birthed her ministry, Poems of Hope—a platform through which she now uplifts and encourages hurting souls with messages of hope and spiritual truth. Her story is one of resilience, beginning as early as age three when she survived a traumatic car accident with her family. That event marked the enemy’s attempt to plant lies in her life, leading to years of co-dependent relationships, emotional struggles, and a double life torn between self-sabotage and a desire to serve God—a journey that began at the age of nine and continued well into her forties.

Charlotte’s healing was deeply nurtured at Beulah Christian Retreat and other sanctuaries of spiritual restoration. Her works—such as Lies Versus God’s Truth, Morning Star, and Love is a Choice—draw from her experiences and resonate with addicts, recovering addicts, and seekers of truth. Her unwavering compassion for the broken and her humility in acknowledging the pain others carry define her ministry. She constantly attributes her recovery not to personal effort but solely to the intervention of the Holy Spirit and the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ.

Anchored in scriptures like Proverbs 24:16—”The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again”—and Ephesians 2:8–9, Charlotte Viljoen’s life is a living witness to the power of grace, the gift of faith, and the hope that only God can give.
